This Saturday night on a very special From Under the Basement -

Eric Hisaw & Chrissy Flatt
By 'Rebel' Rod Ames

Hey kids! Sorry about being virtually absent this week. It has been a busy one.

Yes, my love is music and getting the "good" music heard, but there is another side to me as well. I'm a Father of an athlete, a senior in high school, who just came off a very successful basketball season with his team, the Ingram Tom Moore Warriors.

During his basketball season, he and I were asked to coach a little league basketball team. So on top of his and my already loaded plate we took this on. It's been fun too! The 9 and 10 year old Ballers are 3 and 0 thus far and we're about half way through the season.

On top of that, and on a much sadder note, my wife and I after almost twenty years of marriage are calling it quits, and I've been moving.

Did I mention I've been busy?

So there are the excuses, things are winding down, and I'm actually beginning to get back to as near normalcy as you will ever see me.

The headline this morning is "a very special From Under the Basement", and that it is going to be. This weekend on my show I'm pleased to announce I will have Austin performers Eric Hisaw and Chrissy Flatt in the studio with their guitars! They will both be performing their individual tunes and I'm betting Eric will be performing songs from his latest and incredibly good record, "Ghost Stories".

As much as people think I know a lot about music (I really don't - I just know about what I like) Eric is an aficionado on the subject of music and it's history, especially on the subject of roots music.

It's certainly going to be a show to not only listen too, but to record! It's all going to get started at about 10pm this Saturday night on KOOK 93.5 in Junction and KERV 1230 AM in Kerrville, Texas and of course on the world wide web!

enjoy a little preview! Eric and Chrissy and "Tomorrow" -
